Academic Programs

The college awards a certificate, a diploma, a Bachelor of Pastoral Theology, Bachelor of Christian Education Program and a Bachelor of Advanced Theology Degree.

The Certicate Program is awarded after completing 30 hours in Bible and Theology. It is designed for lay persons and clergy who want to understand the Bible more fully. It can be completed in one year.

The Diploma Program is normally completed in three years. At least 42 hours must be in Bible and Theology with a total of 90 semester hours for its completion.

The Bachelor of Pastoral Theology Degree can be completed in four years if a student takes a full load. It requires a total of 123 semester hours, of which 42 must be in Bible and Theology and 36 in general education courses.

The Christian Education Program Degree can also be completed in four years if the student takes a full load. It requires a total of 123 hours, of which 42 must be in Bible and Theology and 36 hours in general education courses.

The Bachelor of Advanced Theology Degree can be completed in five years. A total of 154 semester hours are necessary for its completion. 36 hours must be in general education courses.

The different programs of study have certain aspects in common as well as characteristics which distinguish them. It is the stated goal of all programs to develop to the fullest the God-given potential of the individual student and prepare him for living a life of Christian stewardship which is responsible to God and responsive to the needs of his fellowman.

This institution is a non-profit entity offering courses or programs of study exclusively in performance of or preparation for the ministry, and therefore is exempt from licensure under Alabama Code 16-46-3
